This delightful tour will start from Edinburgh city and end in Edinburgh city with an outstanding performance of the Military Tattoo. Staying in quaint traditional places in the most sought-after places that this beautiful country has to offer. 

Itinerary Overview: Day 1  – Travel to Edinburgh

We will meet up at Malta International Airport to check in for our flight to Edinburgh, Scotland. The flight is scheduled to depart at 11.00 hrs.

Arriving in Scotland at approximately 13.55 hrs, we will be met by our local tour guide. We will start this enchanting tour with a familiarisation walk around Edinburgh where you will get the first impression on the various iconic sites and landmarks that the city has to offer. Some popular attractions include the historic Edinburgh Castle, the beautiful Holyrood Palace, the scenic Arthur’s Seat, and the vibrant Royal Mile.

After our short tour, we will head to the hotel for an overnight stay. The hotel has restaurants on site. The hotel is conveniently located and offers a comfortable stay for your visit to the city. Enjoy the amenities and hospitality as you settle in after your journey.

Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – Stirling, Loch Lomond & Oban

After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we will start the day with a visit to Stirling. Explore the historic city of Stirling, known for its rich history and stunning architecture. Stirling is home to the iconic Stirling Castle, a symbol of Scottish royalty, and the Wallace Monument, which commemorates Sir William Wallace, a key figure in Scotland’s fight for independence. As you wander through the city, you will encounter charming streets, significant landmarks, and a vibrant atmosphere that reflects Stirling’s important role in Scotland’s past. Enjoy the blend of history and culture as you delve into the stories that shaped this remarkable city.

VISIT TO LOCH LOMOND

Enjoy the natural beauty of Loch Lomond, a stunning freshwater lake surrounded by mountains and forests. This picturesque destination is perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, and picnicking. Immerse yourself in the serene landscapes and take in the breathtaking views that this iconic location has to offer. Loch Lomond promises a memorable experience in nature.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN OBAN

Our stay in Oban is in a charming, historic hotel located in the heart of this picturesque coastal town. Offering stunning views of the bay and surrounding mountains, it provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – Glencoe, Fort William, Glenfinnan and Skye

Indulge in another hearty Scottish breakfast! Be ready to be mesmerized by stunning scenery with a visit to Glencoe and Fort William.

Glencoe is renowned for its dramatic mountain scenery and rich history, making it a perfect spot for hiking, photography, and immersing yourself in nature. VISIT TO GLENFINNAN

Visit the historic Glenfinnan, known for its stunning viaduct and scenic views. This picturesque location is famous for its association with the Jacobite uprising and offers breathtaking landscapes that are perfect for photography and exploration. Enjoy the rich history and natural beauty that Glenfinnan has to offer. The viaduct was also used for a filming location in one of the famous Harry Potter movies.

FORT AUGUSTUS – A CHARMING VILLAGE ON THE CALEDONIAN CANAL

Sitting at the southern tip of Loch Ness, Fort Augustus is a picturesque Highland village, best known for its impressive lock system on the Caledonian Canal. The village is a popular stop for those exploring Loch Ness, offering scenic views, boat trips, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Plenty of opportunities whilst here. One can watch the boats navigate the locks of the Caledonian Canal, an incredible feat of engineering that connects Scotland’s east and west coasts. You can take a Loch Ness boat tour, offering a chance to explore the loch’s deep waters and spot Nessie or visit the Clansman Centre, to learn about Highland history and see traditional clan weaponry and clothing.

We will have an overnight stay in a charming country house hotel located on the southern tip of Loch Ness in Fort Augustus. Offering stunning views of the loch and surrounding Scottish Highlands, this cozy hotel is the perfect base for exploring one of Scotland’s most famous regions. The hotel features individually decorated rooms, blending traditional Scottish character with modern comforts. Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Eilean Donan, Plockton, Inverewe Garden, Torridon and Ullapol

Wake up to enjoy a delicious breakfast at our hotel and today we will look forward to yet another beautiful day starting with a visit to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed monuments in Scotland. This stunning castle is situated on an island at the point where three lochs meet, providing breathtaking views and a rich history to discover. A delightful spot to enjoy the picturesque surroundings, and immerse yourself in the heritage of this remarkable site.

VISIT TO PLOCKTON

Enjoy a scenic visit to the picturesque village of Plockton, known for its stunning views and charming architecture. This delightful village is nestled on the shores of Loch Carron and is famous for its palm trees and colorful cottages. As you stroll through Plockton, take in the breathtaking scenery and the tranquil atmosphere that makes this location a perfect spot for relaxation and exploration. We will allow ample time to soak in the beauty of this unique destination. Enjoy the picturesque surroundings and immerse yourself in the heritage of this remarkable site.

VISIT TO INVEREWE GARDEN

Inverewe Garden, located on the west coast of Scotland near Poolewe, is a stunning botanical garden renowned for its unique collection of exotic plants from around the world. Thanks to the warm currents of the Gulf Stream, Inverewe Garden flourishes with rare and tropical plants that would not typically survive in Scotland’s climate. Stroll through vibrant displays of rhododendrons, Himalayan blue poppies, and giant redwoods, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Loch Ewe. The garden also features woodland trails, coastal views, and a walled garden bursting with seasonal blooms. We will be staying in a traditional Scottish inn, nestled in the scenic Highlands near Garve. Originally a 17th-century drovers’ inn, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by dramatic landscapes, including mountains, rivers, and lochs. The inn provides comfortable en-suite rooms with modern amenities, making it an ideal stopover for travelers exploring the North Highlands. Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, Inverness and Glenfiddich Distillery

Check out and breakfast. Today we will start by exploring the historic Urquhart Castle located on the shores of Loch Ness. This iconic castle offers stunning views of the loch and the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. As you wander through the ruins, you will learn about the rich history of the castle, which dates back to the 13th century and has played a significant role in Scotland’s past. Enjoy the picturesque scenery and immerse yourself in the legends of the Loch Ness Monster as you take in the beauty of this remarkable location.

VISIT TO INVERNESS

Inverness, the cultural heart of the Scottish Highlands, is a city where history and legend intertwine. Nestled on Scotland’s northeast coast at the meeting point of the River Ness and the Moray Firth, Inverness boasts a rich past, none more dramatic than the tragedy of Culloden. Just a few miles from the city, the windswept moor of Culloden witnessed the brutal final battle of the Jacobite Rising in 1746. Here, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s forces made their desperate last stand against the Duke of Cumberland’s well-equipped British army. The bloody defeat crushed Jacobite hopes of restoring the Stuart monarchy and changed Highland life forever. Today, the echoes of that fateful day linger in the solemn beauty of Culloden Battlefield, a haunting reminder of Scotland’s turbulent past.

Yet Inverness itself thrives, its charming Old Town lined with historic treasures, from the 19th-century Inverness Cathedral to the atmospheric Old High Church, while the Victorian Market bustles with life, offering local crafts, food, and a taste of Highland heritage.

TOUR AND TASTING GLENFIDDICH DISTILLERY

The Glenfiddich Distillery, located in Dufftown in the heart of Speyside, is one of Scotland’s most iconic whisky distilleries. Founded in 1887 by William Grant, it remains family-owned and is renowned for producing the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky.

Visitors can take guided tours of the distillery, learning about the whisky-making process from malting and fermentation to distillation and maturation in oak casks. The tours often end with a tasting session, where you can sample some of Glenfiddich’s signature whiskies, including the 12, 15, and 18-year-old expressions.

We will check in to our hotel in Newtonmore. Our hotel is a traditional Scottish hotel nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, known for its warm hospitality and comfortable accommodations. The hotel offers a perfect base for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the Highlands. With cozy, well-furnished rooms equipped with modern amenities, guests can enjoy a relaxing stay after a day of outdoor activities or sightseeing.

Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – Pitlochry and Blair Castle, Edinburgh and the Military Tattoo

After a super breakfast we start this special day with a visit to Blair Castle in Pitlochry. For over seven dazzling centuries, Blair Castle has stood as the cherished home of the Atholl family, its storied walls echoing tales of triumph and turmoil. This grand fortress has evolved through the ages, expanding and transforming over 750 years to reflect the changing tides of history. Within its majestic halls, the legacy of politicians, warriors, visionaries, and pioneers unfolds, set against a breathtaking backdrop of opulent 18th-century interiors and striking Scots Baronial architecture. Across 30 magnificent rooms, visitors journey through time—from the Medieval and Georgian splendor to Victorian elegance and the present day immersing themselves in Scotland’s rich and vibrant past.

ARRIVE IN EDIBURGH – FINAL DESTINATION

August being a special time of year in Edinburgh, showcasing the Fringe Festival sought by international visitors. During this visit you have the opportunity to attend the Military Tattoo. This iconic event showcases a stunning array of performances against a spectacular backdrop Edinburgh Castle, including traditional Scottish music, dance, and military displays. The atmosphere is electric, making it a memorable experience for all attendees. The event is optional. Tickets will be purchased on your behalf ahead of the trip to secure places.

For those who opt out you can head into the centre and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere in and around the city.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN EDINBURGH

Our hotel will be conveniently located outside of the city close to the famous Murrayfield Stadium. This makes it an ideal base for your visit.


Itinerary Overview: Day 7 –
DEPARTURE

Today is our last day in Bonnie Scotland. By this day you would have fallen in love with this country. Indulge in a hearty Scottish breakfast, one to remember! After you check out we will ready ourselves to be picked up to be driven to Edinburgh Airport for our flight scheduled to depart at 15:25hrs.
