5th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – Departure from Malta

Meet your tour leader at Malta International Airport at 13:00hrs to begin your exciting journey to Haneda, Tokyo. After completing check-in and departure formalities, you will board your Emirates flight, scheduled to depart at 15:35hrs. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the start of this unforgettable adventure.

6th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – Arrival in Tokyo

Arrive in Tokyo, at approximately at 22:20hrs. Upon arrival, meet your guide outside the luggage claim area and transfer to your hotel for an overnight.

7th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – Tokyo City Tour

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and travel by coach to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a peaceful green oasis in the heart of Tokyo, known for its beautiful gardens and seasonal scenery.
Continue to Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s traditional districts, where you will visit the iconic Senso-ji Temple and explore the lively Nakamise Shopping Arcade, lined with traditional shops and local souvenirs.
From Asakusa, enjoy a pleasant walk through Sumida Park towards Tokyo Skytree. Take the lift up to the observation decks, reaching up to 450 metres, for spectacular panoramic views across Tokyo. After the visit, return to the hotel by coach.
Overnight stay in Tokyo.

8th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Tokyo City Tour & Optional Sumo Show

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and travel by coach to teamLab Planets Toyosu, an immersive digital art experience featuring interactive and colourful installations.
Continue to Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most vibrant districts, to see the famous Shibuya Crossing and Hachiko Statue. From Shibuya, enjoy a walk through Miyashita Park towards Harajuku and Omotesando, known for its stylish shops, cafés and lively atmosphere. Return to the hotel by coach.
Optional Evening – Dinner & Sumo Show
Later in the afternoon, meet your guide at the hotel and transfer to Hiraku-za in Ginza for a special Dinner and Sumo Show, offering guests the chance to enjoy a traditional Japanese dining experience alongside an entertaining sumo performance. The show lasts approximately 2 hours.

9th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – Mount Fuji Excursion

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel by coach to the Mt. Fuji area, enjoying the scenic countryside along the way. Visit Lake Kawaguchi and Oishi Park, offering beautiful views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding landscape. Continue to Arakurayama Sengen Park, home to the famous Chureito Pagoda and one of the most iconic views of Mt. Fuji.
The day continues with a visit to Oshino Hakkai, a traditional village known for its clear spring waters and charming surroundings. Return to the hotel by coach

10th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – Tokyo – Hakone

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel by coach to Hakone, a beautiful mountain resort known for its natural scenery and hot springs.
Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic ropeway ride from Gora to Sounzan and Owakudani, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Continue with a stroll around Owakudani, a volcanic valley famous for its dramatic landscape and natural hot springs.
Proceed to the hotel for check-in and an evening at leisure.

11th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 7 – Hakone Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a scenic morning ride on the Komagatake Ropeway, ascending into the mountains of Hakone and taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
Continue to Lake Ashi, one of Hakone’s most scenic attractions, and enjoy a relaxing cruise across the lake. Take in the peaceful surroundings and, weather permitting, views towards the surrounding mountains.
Return to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

12th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 8 – Hakone – Kyoto

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel by coach with your guide to Odawara Station. Board the JR Shinkansen Hikari for your journey to Kyoto, enjoying a comfortable and scenic train ride through Japan.
Upon arrival in Kyoto, your guide will meet you at the station and accompany you on the short walk to the hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin your first introduction to Kyoto with a guided walking tour along the Kamo River and through the historic Gion district, using a combination of walking and public transportation.
Return to the hotel after the tour and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Important – Your luggage will be transferred separately by truck from the Hakone hotel to your hotel in Kyoto and will arrive later in the evening. Please keep all valuables and essential items needed during the journey with you, as you will not have access to your main luggage until it arrives at the Kyoto hotel.

13th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 9 – Kurama, Kibune & Traditional Kyoto

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel to head to Kurama-dera Temple and Kibune Shrine, enjoying a scenic hike between the two locations.
Continue to Nishiki Market, known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen”, where you can explore its lively atmosphere and discover a variety of local foods and traditional products. Later, experience the elegance of Japan with a traditional Kimono-wearing experience, giving you the opportunity to dress in authentic Japanese attire and capture memorable photographs.
Lastly visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks, known for its thousands of red torii gates winding through the hillside. Return to the hotel after the tour.

14th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 10 – Arashiyama & Scenic Railway

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel to Arashiyama, one of Kyoto’s most scenic areas.
Enjoy a journey on the Sagano Scenic Railway, travelling through the beautiful countryside along the Hozu River. Continue with a relaxing Hozu River Cruise, taking in the surrounding mountains and natural scenery.
Afterwards, visit the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Togetsukyo Bridge, one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks, offering beautiful views of the river and surrounding landscape.
Return to the hotel after the tour.

15th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 11 – Kyoto – Hiroshima

After breakfast, walk to Kyoto Station with your assistant guide and board the JR Shinkansen Nozomi to Hiroshima.
Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the station and begin a tour of Hiroshima, including Peace Memorial Park, the Peace Memorial Museum, and the Atomic Bomb Dome, important sites that reflect on the history and events of the city. Later, continue to the hotel for check-in and some time to relax.
Important Note – Your main luggage will be transferred separately by courier from your hotel in Kyoto to your hotel in Osaka. As you will be travelling to Hiroshima for two days, please keep with you all essential items and clothing needed for the two-day stay in Hiroshima.

16th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 12 – Hiroshima – Miyajima Island

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and travel by local train and ferry to Miyajima Island.
Explore the island on foot, including the beautiful Itsukushima Shrine and its famous Floating Torii Gate, one of Japan’s most iconic sights. Continue to Misen Mountain, where you will take the cable car and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
After the visit, return to Hiroshima by local train and continue to the hotel.

17th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 13 – Hiroshima – Osaka

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and transfer by coach to Hiroshima Station. Board the JR Shinkansen Nozomi to Shin-Osaka.
Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the station and begin a tour of Osaka, combining coach travel and walking. Discover the lively Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi areas, known for their vibrant atmosphere, shops, restaurants and colourful streets.
Continue to the hotel for check-in and some time to relax.
Optional Evening – Dotonbori Evening Cruise
In the evening, enjoy an optional Dotonbori Evening Cruise, offering a different perspective of Osaka’s famous illuminated waterfront and city streets.

18th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 14 – Osaka City Tour

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and set off by coach to explore some of Osaka’s most interesting landmarks and neighbourhoods.
Visit Osaka Castle Park, surrounding the impressive Osaka Castle and offering a glimpse into the city’s rich history. Continue to Kuromon Market Street, a lively market known for its variety of local foods, fresh produce and traditional Japanese specialities.
Next, discover the colourful Shinsekai district, known for its distinctive atmosphere and traditional Osaka character. Continue to the Umeda Sky Building, where you can enjoy impressive panoramic views across Osaka from one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
The tour concludes in Dotonbori, Osaka’s vibrant entertainment district, famous for its bright signs, restaurants, shops and lively atmosphere. Return to the hotel after the tour.

19th April – Itinerary Overview: Day 15 – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some free time before checking out of the hotel by 11:00hrs. The remainder of the morning and early afternoon will be free at leisure, allowing you time to relax, explore the area. At 15:00, meet your guide and coach at the hotel and transfer to Rinku Premium Outlet. Enjoy free time for shopping, dinner or a coffee break before departing the outlet at approximately 19:30hrs. Continue by coach to Kansai International Airport (KIX), to check in for the flight back home, scheduled to depart at 23:45hrs, bringing your unforgettable Japan journey to a close.

Activity Level: Moderate to High – An active sightseeing tour involving considerable walking, stairs and some uphill/downhill walking. A good level of mobility and stamina is recommended, especially due to the long-haul journey, connecting flights and busy programme.
