After breakfast, we begin our day with a guided walking tour of the fascinating city of Krakow. As we explore, we will visit some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Our tour will include an exterior visit of the impressive Wawel Cathedral and Wawel Castle, once home to many Polish royals. We will also see the Bishop’s Palace, the Royal Tombs, and the famous Sigmund’s Bell. Here, at No. 7 Koscielna Street, Karol Wojtyla was born on May 18, 1920, and spent his childhood and early years until 1938, when he left to study at the University of Krakow. We will visit his family home, now a museum filled with personal items and memorabilia that once belonged to the Pope. Afterward, you’ll have time to purchase a special keepsake to honor this beloved Saint before we reboard our coach.

Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – Auschwitz-Birkenau

After breakfast, we visit one of the most sobering and important historical sites in the world—the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps. Led by a knowledgeable guide, we will learn about the tragic history of this place and see firsthand the barracks where thousands of prisoners, including children, suffered under Nazi rule. We will visit the gas chambers and crematorium, where many innocent lives were lost. This powerful experience will leave a lasting impression as we remember those who endured unimaginable horrors.

After the tour, we return to the hotel where you’ll have some free time to relax. In the evening, we will meet again with our tour leader, who will guide us to the Galleria Krakowska, Krakow’s largest shopping center located near the hotel. You’ll also have the option to spend the evening back in the enchanting main square, soaking in the atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Wieliczka Salt Mines and Lagiewniki

After breakfast we head to Poland’s most treasured landmarks—the Wieliczka Salt Mines. Recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, this incredible underground world will amaze you with its breathtaking salt carvings, created by miners over the centuries. We’ll descend into the depths to explore three floors and 20 halls filled with these intricate sculptures and monuments. After this unforgettable experience, an elevator will bring us back to the surface, where our coach will be waiting to return us to the head to the next destination.

Next, we travel to Lagiewniki Hill, a stunning and spiritually significant site. Here, we will admire the magnificent Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, built at the initiative of Pope John Paul II. We will also visit the chapel and the house of Sister Faustina, where we can see the original and revered painting of the Divine Mercy. This peaceful setting offers a moment of quiet reflection.
