Sunday, 13 July – Flight to London and Embarkation

Meet your tour leader at the Malta International airport for your flight to London. Upon arrival, a private coach will transfer you to Southampton cruise port for check in on Independence of the Seas. It’s the beginning of an exciting journey through Northern Europe. Enjoy a welcome dinner and evening entertainment on board.

Monday, 14 July – At Sea

Take advantage of the ship’s amenities and activities. Relax by the pool, enjoy a spa treatment, or participate in onboard games and entertainment. This is a perfect day to unwind and enjoy the luxurious facilities of the Independence of the Seas.

Tuesday, 15th July – Molde

Known as the Town of Roses, Molde is situated in the midst of some of Norway’s most beautiful fjords. Cruise to Norway to take one of the world’s most iconic drives: Molde’s Atlantic Road, voted the Norwegian Construction of the Century. Running from the island of Averoy to the Norwegian mainland, the 8.3-kilometer road is made up of eight bridges as well as causeways and viaducts touching many tiny islets in the Norwegian sea – but it’s real attraction is the dramatic views of mountains, windswept sea and coastal landscapes.

Wednesday, 16th July – Skjolden

Soak up the enchanting natural landscapes in Skjolden, a village at the end of the emeraldgreen Lustrafjorden. This idyllic town lies at the edge of Sognefjorden, the largest fjord in Norway. Stroll around the tranquil village, admire the rolling farms and the greenery. Visit the old Urnes Stave Church, a Viking Age church dating back to 1130 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 30 kilometres to the south. The narrow road there passes through idyllic villages – its picturesque vistas earn it the name Romantic Route.

Thursday, 17th July – Olden

Fresh air and icy beauty are the hallmarks of Olden, known as the Gateway to the Glaciers. Explore the Jostedal Glacier – not only can you take in views of this natural wonder, you can also head to Jostedalsbreen National Park. Thanks to Olden’s location at the northern end of Oldedalen Valley, you’ll find an unexpectedly dramatic landscape dotted with valleys, waterfalls and mountains. Hike to Mount Hoven Viewpoint, more than 1,000 meters above sea level, it offers some of the best views over Nordfjord and the villages of Olden and Loen. The Loen Skylift will get you there in equally beautiful but less strenuous fashion.

Friday, 18th July – Haugesund

Haugesund area is steeped in history. Visit Avaldsnes, where you’ll find a historical Viking village, Norway’s oldest royal throne. Each year, over 200 Vikings from all over Europe visit for the annual Viking Festival. If you want to get in touch with nature, head to the top of Himakånå to marvel at a bird’s-eye view of the area. The best things to do in Haugesund, Norway will keep you busy and fill your vacation with lifelong memories.

Saturday 19th July – At Sea

Spend another day at sea, taking full advantage of the ship’s offerings. Participate in a fitness class, enjoy a gourmet meal, or simply relax and take in the ocean views. This is a great day to recharge and prepare for the final leg of your journey.

Sunday 20th July – Disembarkation and Return Flight

Enjoy your last breakfast on board until its time to disembark. Once ashore a private coach will transfer you to the airport for your return flight to Malta. You shall make stop for a few hours enroute for some personal sightseeing and last-minute shopping. Your arrival in Malta will be at 00:50hrs (21st July).
