Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – 18th March – Departure from Malta
Meet and greet with our tour leader at Malta International Airport to check in at 12:45hrs for our Emirates flight onwards to our destination Hanoi. The flight is scheduled to depart at 14:45hrs.
Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – 19th March – Arrival at Hanoi
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly greeted and escorted to your hotel for check-in. After some time to relax and settle in, you will be treated to a special welcome dinner featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine (please note that drinks are not included). Enjoy your first evening soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Hanoi. Overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.
Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – 20th March – Hanoi City tour
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to embark on a full-day guided tour of Hanoi. Your exploration begins at Ba Dinh Square, where silent sentries stand guard over Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the final resting place of the revered leader. Nearby, you will visit the humble stilt house where “Uncle Ho” lived and worked during his final years.
Next, you will continue to the iconic One Pillar Pagoda and learn about its fascinating legend, rooted in an 11th-century emperor’s dream. Your journey then takes you to the peaceful Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, beautifully situated on the banks of West Lake.
You will also visit the Temple of Literature, originally built in 1070 to honor Confucius. This tranquil complex, which later became Vietnam’s first university, offers a serene escape from the city’s lively streets.
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, your afternoon continues with a scenic orientation drive through Hanoi’s charming tree-lined boulevards, adorned with restored French colonial architecture, including a glimpse of the elegant Opera House. You will pass by the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, famously known as the Lake of the Restored Sword.
Later in the afternoon, experience the vibrant heart of Hanoi on a traditional cyclo tour through the bustling Ancient Quarter, also known as the 36 Streets District.
You will return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – 21st March – Hanoi/Mai Chau/Pu Luong
After breakfast at your hotel, you will depart for Mai Chau, located in Hoa Binh Province. En route, enjoy a stop at Thung Khe Pass, renowned for its stunning panoramic views and often listed among the top ten most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam.
Upon arrival in Mai Chau, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before setting off to explore the region’s striking landscape of rice paddies and towering limestone mountains. Following a unique route, you will witness farmers at work in the fields and visit the peaceful villages of Pom Coong, Lac, Nhot, and Na Phon.
In the afternoon, your journey continues as you depart for Pu Luong. The drive follows a scenic narrow road winding through terraced rice fields—a truly picturesque route.
Upon arrival in Pu Luong, you will check in to your accommodation and have time to relax amidst the tranquil natural surroundings. Overnight stay in Pu Luong.
Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – 22nd March – Pu Luong trekking
After breakfast, you will set out on a light trek along small, scenic roads. This easy and leisurely walk will lead you to a remote, hidden village nestled within one of the most beautiful valleys of rice terraces. As you wander through this peaceful landscape, you will experience the authentic charm of rural life and the breathtaking natural beauty of Pu Luong.
Following the trek, you will return for lunch at the resort. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure—relax at the resort, unwind by the pool, or simply soak in the serene atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature. Overnight stay in Pu Luong.
Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – 23rd March – Pu Luong/Ninh Binh/Mua Cave/Hoa Lu/Tam Coc
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Ninh Binh, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land.” Upon arrival, your first stop will be at Hang Mua, also known as Mua Cave—one of Ninh Binh’s most breathtaking viewpoints. Embark on a short but rewarding hike to the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views over the Tam Coc river valley, limestone karsts, and lush rice fields.
After descending, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey with a sampan boat ride. A local rower will guide you along the peaceful Ngo Dong River, through the stunning landscapes of Tam Coc. Marvel at the dramatic limestone formations and mysterious caves that stretch along the riverbanks.
In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the 10th century. Here, you will explore the Temple of King Dinh. Overnight stay in Ninh Binh.
Itinerary Overview: Day 7 – 24th March – Ninh Binh/ Ha Long
After breakfast, you will depart for Ha Long Bay, often referred to as Vietnam’s “eighth wonder of the world”—and once visited, it’s easy to understand why. Over 4,000 spectacular limestone outcroppings, cliffs, arches, and hidden coves rise dramatically from emerald waters, creating some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the country.
Upon arrival, you will board a traditional wooden boat and set sail into the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first destination will be the renowned World Heritage area of Ha Long Bay, whose name translates to “Descending Dragon.” Along the way, you will stop at an islet and venture into a series of stunning caves and grottoes, marveling at some of the world’s most impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations.
Later, you will visit a secluded beach, where you can relax and enjoy cruising among the cave-dotted islands. All meals will be served onboard, with menus featuring delicious fresh seafood. Overnight stay on the boat, surrounded by the serene beauty of Ha Long Bay.
Itinerary Overview: Day 8 – 25th March – Ha Long/Hanoi/Danang/Hoi An
Start your day with a Western-style breakfast onboard as your cruise continues through the tranquil waters of Ha Long Bay. Spend the morning enjoying the majestic scenery—towering limestone karsts, hidden coves, and floating fishing villages—while soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the bay.
Before returning to the harbor, you will be served a delicious lunch onboard. Disembark after lunch and begin your journey back to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be transfered to the airport for your flight to Danang. Once you arrive in Danang, you will be warmly greeted and driven to your hotel in the charming town of Hoi An. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Itinerary Overview: Day 9 – 26th March – Hoi An/Coconut Village/Lantern Floating
After breakfast at the hotel, your day begins with a delightful boat ride through the tranquil waterways of the coconut forest. During the ride, your boatman will skillfully craft charming ornaments—such as hats, rings, and glasses—using coconut leaves, offering a hands-on glimpse into traditional craftsmanship.
One of the highlights of the experience is a playful basket boat race, where you will join in the fun, accompanied by cheerful music and drum beats, creating a lively and unforgettable atmosphere on the water.
Following your countryside adventure, you will return to Hoi An to explore the town’s rich cultural heritage. Wander through its narrow streets and take in key landmarks, including the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient Chinese communal houses, and a variety of art galleries and boutique shops.
In the evening, your guide will accompany you to the Hoai River, where you will enjoy a peaceful boat ride and take part in the beautiful tradition of releasing lanterns onto the water—a magical and memorable moment that captures the spirit of Hoi An. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Itinerary Overview: Day 10 – 27th March – Hoi An/Danang/Bana Hills
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you for an exciting full-day excursion to Sun World Ba Na Hills—one of Vietnam’s most iconic and entertaining mountain resorts.
Enjoy a scenic ride aboard one of the world’s longest and most impressive cable car systems, offering panoramic views of the lush mountains and surrounding landscapes.
At the summit, your first stop will be the renowned Golden Bridge, suspended high above the clouds and held aloft by two giant stone hands. Continue your visit with a stroll through the beautifully manicured Le Jardin D’Amour (the Garden of Love) and explore the historic wine cellar dating back to the French colonial period.
Next, board a second cable car to reach the French Village, where you will be transported into a European-style wonderland. Wander through charming cobblestone streets, admire the Gothic-style castles at Du Dôme Square.
At noon, enjoy a lavish buffet lunch with a wide variety of international and local dishes. After lunch, you will have time to explore Fantasy Park, home to over 100 complimentary games and attractions, including thrilling rides and the ever-popular alpine coaster. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to Hoi An for your overnight stay.
Itinerary Overview: Day 11 – 28th March – Hoi An/Linh Ung Pagoda/Marble mountain
After breakfast, you will set out for a scenic drive to the Linh Ung Pagoda, located on the Son Tra Peninsula. Known as the largest pagoda in Central Vietnam, Linh Ung is not only a significant spiritual site but also a place of breathtaking beauty. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by cool sea breezes and panoramic views of Da Nang city. Stroll through the serene grounds, where 18 Arhat statues line the pathways, and marvel at the towering Lady Buddha statue—the tallest in Vietnam—standing gracefully against the sky.
Your journey continues with a visit to the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements. Explore the caves, pagodas, and hidden shrines nestled within the mountains. Nearby, you will stop at the traditional Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, where skilled artisans have practiced the art of stone sculpture for generations.
After the excursion, return to your hotel to relax and enjoy your evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Itinerary Overview: Day 12 – 29th March – Hoi An/Siem Reap
Today is yours to enjoy at leisure! Take this opportunity to experience Hoi An at your own pace—whether it’s wandering through the lantern-lit streets of the Ancient Town, relaxing on the golden sands of An Bang Beach, or cycling through the tranquil countryside to visit nearby artisan villages. You may also choose to join a local workshop and try your hand at lantern making, a signature craft of Hoi An, or simply unwind at a riverside café and soak in the town’s unique charm. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Itinerary Overview: Day 13 – 30th March – Hoi An/Siem Reap
Enjoy the morning at your leisure—relax at the hotel, explore more of Hoi An, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. When it’s time to depart, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and settle in. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Itinerary Overview: Day 14 – 31st March – Siem Reap/Kulen Mountain/Angkor Wat
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kulen National Park, home to the sacred Kulen Mountain, regarded as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire in the early 9th century. Rich in spiritual and historical significance, the mountain is dotted with ancient temples and archaeological remains. You will visit the remarkable River of a Thousand Lingas, where intricate carvings lie beneath the clear waters, symbolizing fertility and spiritual renewal.
Continue to the impressive reclining Buddha, carved directly into a massive sandstone boulder, and experience the serenity of the cascading Kulen Waterfall. Here, locals believe bathing in the holy waters can cleanse one’s spirit and wash away misfortune.
In the afternoon, return to Siem Reap to visit the majestic Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Spanning over 200 hectares and surrounded by a vast moat and imposing stone walls, this architectural masterpiece is a symbol of Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage. Marvel at its intricate bas-reliefs, soaring towers, and timeless beauty as your guide shares insights into its history and symbolism. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Itinerary Overview: Day 15 – 1st April – Siem Reap/Angkor
After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a journey into the heart of the ancient Khmer Empire at Angkor Thom, the last and most enduring capital city. Enter through the imposing South Gate, flanked by a stunning avenue of deities and demons representing the cosmic tug-of-war from Hindu mythology.
Your first stop is the iconic Bayon Temple, built in the late 12th to early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. This architectural marvel features 54 towers adorned with 216 serene and enigmatic stone faces, offering a truly unforgettable sight.
Continue to the atmospheric Ta Prohm Temple, where nature and ancient architecture intertwine in dramatic harmony. Left largely in its natural state, this jungle-covered temple is famous for its massive fig trees and sprawling roots that have overtaken the stone walls, creating a hauntingly beautiful scene of man-made structure reclaimed by the forces of nature.

Itinerary Overview: Day 16 – 2nd April – Siem Reap/Tonle Sap Lake
After breakfast at the hotel, set out for a unique cultural experience with a visit to a Floating Village on the Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Board a traditional wooden boat and cruise through this fascinating aquatic community, where life unfolds entirely on water. Witness floating homes, stilted houses towering above the lake, bustling markets, fish farms, and towering bamboo fish traps—each a testament to the locals’ resourcefulness and deep connection to the rhythms of nature.
This immersive journey offers a glimpse into a way of life deeply intertwined with the lake’s seasonal ebb and flow, where generations have lived in harmony with the fish, birds, and rising waters.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time at your leisure to relax, shop for souvenirs, or further explore Siem Reap on your own. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Itinerary Overview: Day 17 – 3rd April – Siem Reap Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure. You may take this time to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or soak in the final moments of your time in Siem Reap.
Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Flight is scheduled to depart 19:25hrs.
The group is scheduled to arrive in Malta on the afternoon of April 4th.
