Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – ARRIVAL IN MARRAKESH – OUZOUD FALLS
Meet and greet with the tour leader at 05:15 hrs at Malta International Airport, where you will be assisted with check-in for a connection flight scheduled to depart at 07:15 hrs. Upon arrival at Marrakesh Airport, we will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Morocco.
Located in the Middle Atlas region near the town of Azilal, the Ouzoud Waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in Morocco. Upon arrival, a guided walk will take place, allowing you to explore the area around the waterfalls. During the walk, you may encounter monkeys along the way and will have the opportunity to feed them and take photos. Later, we will proceed to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – OUZOUD FALLS – BIN EL OUIDANE LAKE – BENI MELAL – CASABLANCA
After breakfast, we will begin crossing the Middle Atlas via remote rural roads towards Bin El Ouidane Lake, enjoying what is surely one of the most scenic drives in Morocco. Along the way, we will witness panoramic views of the snow-capped High Atlas mountain range as we gradually make our way towards the lake. After leaving Bin El Ouidane Lake, we will continue to Beni Mellal, where we will have the opportunity to explore the city, including the Kasbah of Ras El Ain, built by Sultan Moulay Ismail, and the spring of Ain Asserdoun (known in the Berber language as “the Eye of the Mule”).
Following a lunch break, we will proceed to Casablanca, the main commercial capital of Morocco. Here, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the greatest achievements of Moroccan architecture and the second-largest mosque in the world, spectacularly located on a rocky promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
We will also visit the Casablanca markets, followed by a visit to Place Mohammed V, home to several historic government buildings. Later, we will head to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – CASABLANCA – RABAT – CHEFCHAOUEN
After breakfast, we will depart towards Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City” of Morocco, located in the Rif Mountains. En route, we will stop in Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, where we will visit the Hassan Tower.
We will then continue our journey through spectacular mountain landscapes to reach Chefchaouen, renowned for its stunning blue-washed streets and unique atmosphere. Upon arrival, you will have time to walk, explore, and discover the charm of this remarkable city, often referred to as the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco.
Later, we will be taken to a scenic viewpoint to enjoy the sunset overlooking the magnificent blue city. Overnight stay at a riad.
Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – CHEFCHAOUEN – AKCHOUR WATERFALLS – OUAZZANE – FES
After breakfast, we will depart from Chefchaouen towards Akchour National Park in the Talassemtane region. We will begin a walk to the famous and beautiful cascades, following a scenic path through the gorges of Oued Farda. Here, you may choose to enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax and take in the stunning natural surroundings.
Later, we will continue our drive to Fes. After Casablanca, Fes is the second-largest city in the country, with a population of approximately one million people. It is a former capital and one of Morocco’s four imperial cities.
As the city has experienced relatively little colonial influence, much of Fes feels like stepping back in time. The charming medina, with its narrow and winding streets, is particularly captivating. Here, you can shop in the iconic souks for spices, leather goods, ceramics, and more, and observe local artisans at work in their small workshops. Later, we will head to the riad for an overnight stay.
Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT
After breakfast, we will transfer out of the bustling city and head into the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Drive south and inland through spectacular landscapes, where fertile valleys and forests contrast with barren, rocky areas. The region is home to nomadic shepherds tending their flocks of goats and sheep. Nestled in a valley, Midelt is a market town originally established as a mining base, now surrounded by farmland and orchards.
Enjoy a short walk as we explore the nearby village of Berrem and gain insight into local farming life. During this visit, we will have the opportunity to be welcomed into a local family’s home, where we can enjoy traditional mint tea while learning about their daily life and customs. This visit helps support the local community by providing income to local families. Afterward, we will continue to our hotel, where dinner and an overnight stay are planned.
Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – MIDELT – ARFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA – LUXURY CAMP
After breakfast, we depart from Midelt in the direction of Merzouga, with plenty of opportunities to stop and admire views of local kasbahs and palmeries – valleys lush with date palms, fields, and orchards. Along the way, you may encounter nomads traveling with their flocks – these free-spirited people live under the open sky and rarely settle in one place for long.
We continue through barren mountainsides and fertile valleys, pausing in frontier towns such as Erfoud and Rissani before reaching the small Saharan settlement of Merzouga. Set against the backdrop of the striking orange Erg Chebbi sand dunes, this charming village feels wonderfully remote, as if the modern world has left it behind. Here, you will mount a camel to watch the sunset from a unique perspective among the rolling desert dunes before continuing to the luxury camp. After dinner, enjoy an evening around the bonfire with Berber drum music, and take an optional walk among the dunes to marvel at the countless stars in the desert sky. Overnight stay in a luxury camp.
Itinerary Overview: Day 7 – LUXURY CAMP – SAHARA DESERT – RISSANI ARFOUD – TINJDAD – TODRA GORGES – BOUMALEN – DADES GORGES
Our camel guides will wake you early in the morning to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes, when the shifting colours of the sand create a spectacular display of light and shadow. After sunrise and breakfast in the desert, you will return either by camel or 4×4 vehicle. You will then have some free time to enjoy optional quad bike activities in the desert.
We will then continue our journey to the Tafilalt (Er-Rissani) area at the edge of the Ziz Valley. Er-Rissani is an ancient Berber and Bedouin city and the birthplace of the first ruler of the Alawite dynasty, which rose to power in the 17th century.
Afterward, we proceed towards the Dades Valley, travelling through mountain landscapes, impressive gorges, and along the eastern slopes of the Atlas Mountains. We will pass the Todra Oasis and the Todra Gorges, journeying through palm-filled valleys and traditional Berber villages, before enjoying a spectacular scenic drive through the Dades Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay in the Dades Gorges.
Itinerary Overview: Day 8 – DADES GORGES – ROSE VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKESH
After breakfast at the hotel in the Dades Valley, we will stop to take photos in the gorges, enjoying the stunning views. We will then head towards Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa,” travelling via the Skoura Oasis. En route, we will stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Taourirt Kasbah, followed by another stop near the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate.
After these visits, we will continue to Aït Ben Haddou, where we will have a lunch break and a guided walk through this remarkable kasbah. Aït Ben Haddou is an ancient ksar (fortified village) located along the former Berber and Bedouin caravan route between the Sahara and northern Morocco. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and has served as the filming location for many famous movies, including Gladiator and The Mummy.
After visiting the kasbah, we will continue our journey through Telouet and then proceed to Marrakesh. Overnight stay at the hotel in Marrakesh.
Itinerary Overview: Day 9 – HOT AIRBALLON & EXCURSION TO ESSAOUIRA
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the site for a hot air balloon experience. Enjoy a peaceful sunrise flight over the beautiful landscapes surrounding Marrakesh, followed by a traditional breakfast after landing.
After breakfast, we begin our scenic journey to Essaouira. Along the way, you may spot scattered Berber villages and herds of camels, sheep, and goats grazing in the countryside. The landscape gradually changes as we pass through forests of argan trees, which grow naturally only in this region.
Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic view of Essaouira, a charming blue-and-white coastal town known for its artistic and relaxed atmosphere. You will have free time to explore at your leisure—walk along the historic ramparts, visit the lively medina, watch fishermen unloading their daily catch at the port, or enjoy fresh seafood at one of the harbour-side restaurants.
In the late afternoon, we will begin our comfortable drive back to Marrakesh. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Itinerary Overview: Day 10 – FAREWELL AND DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH
After breakfast, time to say farewell to this beautiful country. Our driver ensures that we arrive at Marrakech airport to check in for our flight connection. We hope that this journey leaves you with amazing memories to cherish.
