Saturday 11th Feb: 

We meet at the airport at 12:15pm for our Ryanair flight departing at 14:15pm and arriving in Lisbon Airport at 16:40pm. We then make our way to our four star hotel in Lisbon. After checking in together with our tour leader we will go for a familiarization walk. 

Sunday, 12th Feb: 

After breakfast, today we go for a full day excursion to Fatima, one of the largest religious pilgrimage sites in the world. With the gorgeous white structure, unblemished and pure, Fatima is known as the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to three little shepherds. Since the apparitions the region of Fatima became a destination of pilgrims. Here we see the small Chapel of the Apparitions and visit the Basilica. We later visit Centro Commercial de Fatima, a shop where you find all kinds of items and symbols of the Christian faith. Our last stop for today will be at Aljustrel and visit the houses of the three shepherd children. We return to our hotel. 

Monday, 13th Feb: 

Today, after breakfast we start our day with a half day excursion taking us round Lisbon with our local guide. We start with a panoramic tour stopping in Belem district, home to the 16th century UNESCO World Heritage listed sites, the stunning Belem Tower and St. Anthony’s Church. We shall also see the Monument to the Discoveries, the fifty meters tall monument, shaped like a ship’s prow built in honour of Henry the Navigator. Afterwards we proceed to our hotel. Afternoon free for some shopping at Vasco Da Gama shopping centre. 

Tuesday, 14th Feb: 

After breakfast we proceed for another full day excursion taking us first to one of the most picturesque and charming city of Obidos. Obidos is a charming medieval village made up of a labyrinth of cobblestoned streets with white washed houses that liven up with dashes of vivid yellow and blue paint. Walking inside the village also allows you to taste the local drink Ginjinha and other local goods and crafts. Next, it’s onto the fishing village of Nazare, where old women still wear traditional skirts. The small fishing town has a grand breach, where one can enjoy classic Portuguese dishes, absorb panoramic views of Portugal’s rugged Atlantic coastline and capture numerous photographs. Afterwards, we will have a panorama view of Peniche, before we make our way back to the hotel. 

Wednesday, 15th Feb: 

This morning, after our last breakfast we check-out from our rooms and go on our last half day excursion visiting the lovely Palmela Castle. The castle, whose stones hold historic memories dating to pre-history, sits high up on the Serra de Arrabida hills, offering exquisite panoramic views of the region and the Tagus and Sado rivers. Afterwards, we suggest that we end our trip by visiting the amazing view where the famous monument of Christ the King is (extra). We then proceed to Lisbon Airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 16:50PM and arriving in Malta at 20:55pm.
