Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul

Meet at the airport at 04:00hrs with our tour leader for check-in and departure on our flight to Istanbul at 06:00hrs. Upon arrival, we will head to Ortaköy, Istanbul’s charming bohemian district, famous for its artists’ bazaar and one of the city’s most beautiful mosques. Time for lunch.

Next, we will visit Galataport, the city’s new port area, offering stunning views where you can admire both the historic and modern sides of Istanbul. Enjoy some free time to explore.
Transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Istanbul: Golden Horn, Old City & Grand Bazaar

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by departure to Pierre Loti Café, where we can enjoy the best views of the Golden Horn and have some free time to relax with tea or coffee.

Next, we will visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, home to St. George’s Cathedral, the Orthodox Christian equivalent of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Afterwards, explore the colorful neighborhood of Balat. Lunch time will follow.

In the afternoon, visit the Basilica Cistern, also known as the “Submerged Palace,” one of Istanbul’s historic underground cisterns. Continue to the Old City, where we will see its most important monuments:

• Blue Mosque, a 17th-century masterpiece adorned with exquisite Turkish tiles
• Roman Hippodrome, featuring the German Fountain, Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, and Obelisk of Constantine
• Hagia Sophia, a 6th-century Byzantine marvel

The tour will conclude at the Grand Bazaar, with some free time to stroll through its vibrant streets. Transfer back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 – Istanbul: Süleymaniye Mosque, Spice Bazaar & Taksim

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Süleymaniye Mosque, a 16th-century masterpiece and the largest mosque in Istanbul, designed by the renowned Ottoman architect Sinan. The surrounding complex includes a library, hospital, Turkish bath, and bazaar.

Next, enjoy some free time at the Spice Bazaar, famous for its spice shops and Turkish delights, and visit the nearby New Mosque. Time for lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to Galata Square to see Galata Tower, one of the oldest towers in the world and an iconic symbol of Istanbul. Galata Tower (Galata Kulesi) was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2013 and historically served as a fire watchtower, also known as the Galata Fire Tower.

The tour continues to the modern district of Taksim and the bustling İstiklal Street, a pedestrian avenue lined with historic buildings, including Galatasaray High School, the Flower Passage, and the Church of St. Anthony.

Transfer back to the hotel at the end of the day for overnight stay.

Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Departure from Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Your flight is scheduled to depart at 11:35 hrs.

This concludes our memorable Istanbul experience, filled with historic landmarks, vibrant neighbourhoods, and unforgettable sights.
