Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – Departure, Catania & Fiera dei Morti

We will meet our Tour Leader at Malta International Airport for check-in on the KM flight to Catania, scheduled to depart at 06:10 hrs. Upon arrival, we will meet our coach and proceed directly to Catania city centre, where we will have some free time to explore and soak in the local atmosphere. We will then visit the famous Fiera dei Morti, where thousands of visitors gather for this annual event. This is an excellent opportunity for shopping, with numerous stalls offering clothing, shoes, and a wide variety of goods. You will have ample free time to explore the fair and enjoy its lively ambiance.

In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Agriturismo Santa Margherita. Upon arrival, room allocation will take place. Later, we will gather on the terrace to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, featuring lush greenery, scenic pathways, and breathtaking views of the Aeolian Islands.

After some free time, we will enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. Most of the ingredients used are locally produced or sourced from trusted local suppliers, ensuring an authentic and high-quality dining experience. Dinner and overnight at the agriturismo.

Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – Tindari, Wine Tasting & Milazzo

After breakfast, we will depart for Tindari. Situated on a hill, this peaceful location offers a tranquil escape from the noise of the cities, with breathtaking views over the Milazzo peninsula and Capo Calavà. The highlight of Tindari is the Sanctuary dedicated to the Black Madonna, overlooking the Gulf of Patti.

We will then continue our journey towards Milazzo, with a special stop along the way for a wine tasting experience. Weather permiting, we will visit a local vineyard, where guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of regional wines accompanied by complementary cheese and cold cuts. Following this authentic experience, we proceed to Milazzo, where we will stop along the promenade for a short walk. We will then continue to Capo Milazzo, a stunning viewpoint reached via a short walk through nature, leading us close to the lighthouse at the tip of Sicily.

We will return to Agriturismo Santa Margherita for some free time before dinner. In the evening, we will enjoy a traditional Sicilian musical night, full of energy and participation. Dinner and overnight at the agriturismo.

Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – Cefalù & Santo Stefano di Camastra

After breakfast, we will depart for the Norman town of Cefalù, one of Sicily’s most popular tourist destinations. Strolling through its charming narrow streets, we will arrive at Piazza del Duomo, where we will visit the impressive Norman Cathedral, one of the oldest and most remarkable in Sicily. Other highlights include the Medieval Washhouse and the picturesque seaside promenade, which attracts thousands of visitors during the summer months.

Following some free time, we will continue to Santo Stefano di Camastra, a town renowned worldwide for its colourful, high-quality ceramics. Here, we will visit a local factory to observe skilled artisans at work, followed by an explanation of the production process.

We will then proceed to the town centre and, accompanied by our Tour Leader, walk to the promenade to enjoy panoramic views. Some free time will follow before we return to the coach and head back to Agriturismo Santa Margherita. Dinner and overnight at the agriturismo.

Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Messina, Ganzirri & Return to Malta

After breakfast, we will check out and depart towards Messina. Before entering the city centre, we will stop at a belvedere to enjoy panoramic views of the city and its port, where ferries operate between Sicily and mainland Italy. We will then continue with a city tour by coach, followed by a stop at Piazza Duomo, where we will admire the Cathedral and the famous Astronomical Clock, known for its daily midday performance.

Afterwards, we will visit the Lakes of Ganzirri, renowned for their natural beauty and traditional mussel farming. We will then proceed towards Catania, with a stop at Centro Sicilia Shopping Centre, where there will be time for some last-minute shopping.

This will be our final stop before heading to Catania Airport for our return KM flight to Malta, scheduled to depart at 22:30 hrs.
