Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – Arrival and the Queen of the Dolomites

Arrival at Treviso airport in Venice. Meet and greet at the airport with our local tour operator, then transfer by private coach.

Morning Excursion to Cortina d’Ampezzo:
Kick off your Dolomites adventure with a picturesque drive through the mountain roads to Cortina d’Ampezzo, affectionately known as the “Queen of the Dolomites.” Nestled in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cortina boasts breathtaking views of rugged peaks and alpine landscapes. Upon arrival, join a guided tour of the town’s charming streets, learn about its history and significance, and take in the unique blend of Italian and Tyrolean cultures. After the tour, you’ll have some free time to explore on your own. Wander through boutique shops, capture postcard-perfect photos, or simply soak up the crisp mountain air.

Lunch Break:
Enjoy a leisurely lunch (on your own) at one of the local eateries in Cortina. From hearty alpine dishes like polenta and game stews to lighter options such as fresh mountain cheeses and local wine, there’s something for every taste.

Afternoon Stop at Lake Misurina:
After lunch, continue the journey with a brief stop at the magnificent Lake Misurina. Renowned for its serene atmosphere and mirror-like waters reflecting the towering Dolomite peaks, this lake is the perfect spot for photography or a peaceful moment to take in the scenery. Hear stories of its legendary origins and why it is often referred to as the “Pearl of the Dolomites.”

Evening Arrival in Bressanone:
As the day winds down, travel to the charming town of Bressanone (Brixen in German), where you’ll check into your comfortable hotel, your base for the next four nights. After settling in, indulge in a hearty dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, featuring local flavors and hospitality, and relax in preparation for the adventures ahead.

Morning in Bressanone:
Start the day with a guided tour of Bressanone, one of South Tyrol’s oldest towns, steeped in history and culture. Afternoon in Merano:
After the morning exploration, travel to Merano, a renowned spa town famed for its elegant promenades, thermal baths, and lush gardens. Begin with a guided tour through Merano’s charming historic center, where you’ll discover its blend of Mediterranean flair and alpine traditions. Highlights include the beautifully preserved medieval gates, the Kurhaus, and scenic river walks. Evening Back in Bressanone:

Option 1: Skiing in Plose (Extra Payable On-Site):
For winter sports enthusiasts, the Plose ski area is the perfect playground. Located just a short distance from Bressanone, Plose boasts an array of ski runs suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers. With stunning views of the Dolomites as your backdrop, enjoy a day of adrenaline and alpine beauty. Our guide will assist in organizing ski passes, equipment rentals, and lessons if needed, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Option 2: Relaxation and Leisure in Bressanone:
For those seeking a slower pace, Bressanone offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation and exploration. Treat yourself to a rejuvenating experience at Acquarena, a modern wellness center with heated pools, saunas, and spa treatments (payable directly at the venue). Alternatively, take a gentle stroll through Bressanone’s medieval streets, visit the striking Cathedral with its frescoed cloisters, or savor a coffee and local pastry at a cozy café while soaking in the town’s charming ambiance.

Evening in Bressanone:

Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – History and Indulgence in Trento and Ferrari Winery

Morning in Trento:
Embark on a scenic journey south to Trento, a city that beautifully blends Italian and Germanic influences. Upon arrival, join a guided tour of Trento’s historic center, a treasure trove of art, architecture, and culture. Stroll through Piazza Duomo, framed by colorful frescoed buildings and the majestic Trento Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque-Gothic design.

Afternoon in Bolzano:

There will be a visit to Bolzano and a panoramic tour through “La strada del Vino”, on the way from Trento. A visit to  the Buonconsiglio Castle, a centuries-old fortress with stunning views and fascinating exhibits that reflect Trento’s rich history. As you explore, you’ll notice how the city’s unique blend of cultures is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and way of life.

Evening Return to Bressanone:
After a day of history and indulgence, return to Bressanone for a relaxed evening. Enjoy another delightful dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, relishing local specialties and reflecting on the day’s rich experiences.

Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – A Toast to the Dolomites and Farewell

Morning Prosecco Tasting:
Bid farewell to the Dolomites with a memorable final stop in the heart of Italy’s Prosecco region. En route to Treviso Airport, visit a charming winery nestled among the rolling hills where the world-famous Prosecco is produced. Discover the secrets behind this effervescent wine during a guided tour of the estate. Learn about the unique terroir and production methods that make Prosecco so distinctive. The visit concludes with a delightful tasting session, where you’ll sample a selection of Prosecco wines, from brut to rosé, accompanied by light refreshments. It’s the perfect way to toast to the incredible journey you’ve experienced.

Transfer to Treviso Airport:
After the tasting, continue your transfer to Treviso Airport for your departure. Take a moment to reflect on the stunning landscapes, cultural highlights, and unforgettable experiences of your Dolomite adventure as you prepare to head home. Safe travels and grazie for joining us!
