Embark on your exciting journey, as we will convene with our Tour Leader at Malta International Airport at 12:30hrs to check-in for our onward journey. The flight is scheduled to depart at 14:45hrs for Colombo, Sri Lanka.
14th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – Arrival in Negombo
Upon arrival, your adventure begins with a comfortable drive to the vibrant coastal city of Negombo, situated on the scenic west coast. Once you arrive at your first accommodation, you will check in, unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere. Later we will regroup and visit the Negombo Fish Market and fish drying sandy beaches.
After a long day of travel, take this time to relax, refresh, and sleep off any jet lag with a restful overnight stay, preparing you for the wonders that await in Sri Lanka.
15th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – Wildlife and Heritage Day
After a delicious breakfast, check out and then begin your day with a scenic transfer to the historic town of Sigiriya. Along the way, enjoy a heartwarming visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you will witness the gentle giants in their natural habitat, providing an unforgettable encounter with Sri Lanka’s cherished wildlife.
Later you will have the opportunity to ascend to the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, perched on a rocky summit. This awe-inspiring cave complex is adorned with ancient murals and statues, offering a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
After this enriching experience, you will settle in for dinner at the hotel and an overnight stay in the historic and tranquil surroundings of Sigiriya, preparing for more exciting discoveries to come.
16th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Sigiriya Highlights
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before setting off to explore the enigmatic Sigiriya Lion Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Climb to the summit and take in breathtaking 360° views of the surrounding hills, jungles, and ancient water gardens—each as stunning as the fortress itself. Afterwards, feed your senses with the rich aromas, vibrant colors, and authentic flavors of a traditional Rice and Curry experience at a local restaurant, Priyamali Gedara. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, one of the island’s best places to witness herds of wild elephants roaming freely amidst lush landscapes—a truly unforgettable encounter with nature.
Return to your hotel in majestic Sigiriya, where you will enjoy a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay, preparing for more adventures ahead.
17th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – Village Life & Sunset Views
After a hearty breakfast, set out to explore the local village life in Sigiriya. Enjoy a scenic bullock cart ride followed by a peaceful catamaran journey through serene surroundings to reach a traditional village. There, you will take part in a hands-on cooking experience, learning to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes before savoring the delicious meal you’ve helped create.
In the evening, embark on an optional climb up Pidurangala Rock, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and a spectacular sunset over the Sigiriya landscape.
Return to your hotel in historic Sigiriya for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s unique experiences.
18th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – Journey to Kandy
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Kandy, the sacred capital nestled in Sri Lanka’s central hills. Along the way, make a stop at the Matale Hindu Temple, a vibrant site adorned with intricate carvings and colorful statues that reflect the island’s rich spiritual heritage. Continue your journey with a visit to the Matale Herbal Spice Garden, where you will discover the age-old secrets of Sri Lanka’s renowned spices and herbal remedies.
Upon arrival in Kandy, settle in and enjoy a captivating Cultural Dance Show, where the celebrated Kandyan dance tradition comes to life through rhythmic drumming, graceful movements, and vibrant costumes.
Check into your hotel, followed by a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the pleasant hill city of Kandy.
19th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 7 – Temple, Tea & Waterfalls
After breakfast and check-out, begin your day with a special morning ritual blessing at the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, a deeply spiritual experience in one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred sites.
Next, stop to admire the stunning Ramboda Waterfall, a majestic cascade nestled in the misty hills. Continue your journey with a visit to a tea plantation and factory, where you can witness the fascinating tea production process and sample some of the finest tea you’ve ever tasted.
Once you will arrive in Nuwara Eliya, check in, enjoy dinner, and unwind with an overnight stay in the serene, misty surroundings of Nuwara Eliya.
20th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya Highlights
After a delightful breakfast, set out to visit the Lover’s Leap Waterfall, a stunning cascade surrounded by lush greenery and steeped in local legend. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Ambewela New Zealand Farm, where you can experience the scenic countryside, meet dairy cattle, and learn about the region’s milk production, followed by a stop at a charming strawberry farm to enjoy fresh, locally grown strawberries. Later, embark on a Little England city tour of Nuwara Eliya, discovering its colonial charm, picturesque gardens, and quaint architecture that beautifully reflect the town’s British heritage and cool mountain ambiance.
Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner, followed by a peaceful overnight stay in the misty beauty of Nuwara Eliya.
21st February – Itinerary Overview: Day 9 – Scenic Train to Ella
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the Nanu Oya Railway Station to begin one of the world’s most scenic train journeys to Ella. As the train winds its way through lush tea plantations, mist-covered hills, and picturesque mountain landscapes, you will be treated to breathtaking views at every turn. Upon arrival in Ella, visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, also known as the Bridge in the Sky—a remarkable feat of engineering set amidst dense greenery, offering a perfect spot for photos and a truly unforgettable experience.
End the day with a delightful dinner at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in the enchanting hill town of Ella.
22nd February – Itinerary Overview: Day 10 – Hike to Little Adam’s Peak & Wildlife Adventure in Yala
After breakfast and check-out, start your day with a refreshing morning hike to Little Adam’s Peak, offering breathtaking views of the lush highlands and verdant hills.
Following this, we will begin our transfer to Yala. Along the way, stop for some sightseeing at the beautiful Ravana Waterfall, a picturesque cascade with a rich historical connection to Sri Lankan folklore.
In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari in Yala National Park, famous for its wildlife, including elephants, leopards, and exotic bird species.

23rd February – Itinerary Overview: Day 11 – Southern Coast Adventure
After a delicious breakfast and check-out, transfer to Hikkaduwa, enjoying a scenic drive along Sri Lanka’s stunning southern coast. On the way, stop at the picturesque Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa, a beautiful spot surrounded by tall palms, perfect for capturing memorable photos.
Continue your journey to Hikkaduwa, where you will stay overnight, where dinner will be served at the hotel and you can take in the relaxed coastal atmosphere and enjoy the tranquil beach surroundings.
24th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 12 – Exploring Galle
After breakfast, explore the historic Galle Dutch Fort and city, wandering through its cobbled streets, colonial architecture, and charming boutiques while soaking in the rich heritage of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Later, witness the fascinating Stilt Fishermen along the coast, a unique local tradition where fishermen balance on slender poles to catch their daily fish, offering a memorable glimpse into Sri Lanka’s coastal culture.
In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner, followed by a peaceful overnight stay in legendary Galle, where you can reflect on a day of pure relaxation.
25th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 13 – Leisure Day by the Coast
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then take some time to relax and unwind, enjoying the peaceful ambiance and the comfort of your surroundings. You can also explore the local area, soaking in the sights, sounds, and coastal charm of Hikkaduwa at your own pace.
In the evening, return to your hotel to stay overnight and have dinner, rest and recharge for the next day of your journey.
26th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 14 – Journey to Colombo
After breakfast, begin your journey with a transfer to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital. Along the way, stop at the Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery, where you can learn about conservation efforts and see these fascinating creatures up close.
Continue your scenic drive with a boat ride on the Madu River, exploring its tranquil waters, mangroves, and vibrant wildlife—a peaceful and picturesque experience.
Arrive in Colombo in the evening, where you will stay overnight and have dinner at the hotel, enjoy the city’s lively atmosphere and comfortable accommodation.
27th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 15 – Colombo City Highlights
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a half-day city tour of Colombo, exploring a blend of colonial heritage and modern landmarks.
Begin with a visit to the Gangaramaya Temple, where you can admire its rich collection of Buddhist artifacts and vibrant cultural displays, followed by a stop at the serene Seema Malaka Temple, beautifully situated on Beira Lake. Continue to the Independence Memorial Hall, a peaceful site steeped in national pride, and stroll through the Old Dutch Hospital Precinct, enjoying its colonial charm, local crafts, and quaint cafés. Drive past the Old Parliament Building and the bustling Fort area for a glimpse of Colombo’s historic heart, and make a photo stop at the iconic Lotus Tower, South Asia’s tallest structure, offering a striking modern contrast to the cityscape.
Conclude your tour with a drive along the scenic Galle Face Green, perfect for oceanfront views and a leisurely stroll, before returning to your hotel to stay overnight in Colombo.
28th February – Itinerary Overview: Day 16 – Last Glimpse of Sri Lanka
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time to relax and reflect on the wonderful memories made during your journey. Take advantage of a late check-out before gathering for a farewell dinner, savoring your final taste of Sri Lanka’s rich flavors and warm hospitality.
Later, bid goodbye to this beautiful island as you transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
1st March – Itinerary Overview: Day 17 – Farewell Sri Lanka
Your flight is scheduled to depart from Colombo Airport at 02:40hrs, marking the end of a memorable journey and wonderful days spent discovering the beauty, culture, and warmth of Sri Lanka as you head back home.
