It holds great historical significance as the site of the 16th-century Council of Trent and was once part of Austria and later Austria-Hungary before being annexed by Italy in 1919.

Our walk will include a visit to Piazza Duomo, the vibrant heart of the city. Here, we will stop at the Fountain of Neptune and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains, the Sardagna waterfall, and the city’s towers and castellated palaces, evoking the grandeur of the Council of Trent era.
