All cabins are equipped with Nespresso machine, flat screen TV and telephone, AC, hair dryer, private safe; free WiFi access, SPA bathrobes and slippers, high quality mattresses oozing comfort and style.

Evenings spent relaxing in the lounge area after a sumptuous meal, a great time to catch up with the group and reminisce on the days spent.

Itinerary Overview: Day 1 – Arrival

Meet up with your tour leader at 7:00 AM at Malta International Airport to check in for your flight to Vienna, scheduled for 9:15 AM. Upon arrival in Vienna, our coach transfer will head to Wien DDSG Hafen where the ship is berthed. The embarkation/check in process will begin at 15:00. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river before settling in for the evening. Once everyone is onboard, we will get together for your first dinner on board this exclusive ship, marking the exciting start to your journey on this VIVA cruise.

Itinerary Overview: Day 2 – Discover Vienna

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast onboard while enjoying the scenic views along the Danube River. After breakfast, get ready for a full day of exploring Vienna, Austria’s magnificent capital, known for its rich history, culture, and elegance.

Vienna is full of splendour and one can visit to Schönbrunn Palace, the stunning summer residence of the Habsburgs. Explore its exquisite gardens and opulent interiors at your own pace. There is also the Hofburg Palace, home to the Spanish Riding School, the Austrian National Library, and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Museum Quarter, where you will find top galleries to indulge in such as the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Albertina.

Sit and relax in a local café to savor traditional Viennese delicacies, or indulge in a slice of Sachertorte with a glass of wine or a chilled beer.

Other landmarks in Vienna are to the St. Stephen’s Cathedral where you can take in panoramic views of the city from the South Tower,Kärntner Strasse and Graben for high-end shopping, or, if you’re a music lover, a visit the Vienna State Opera or Mozarthaus, Mozart’s former residence.

Remember that being on “all-inclusive” you do have lunch on board the ship with a great selection of hot and cold drinks and beverages.

After a rewarding day exploring Vienna, back to the ship for a relaxing dinner onboard. In the evening, unwind and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the river as we prepare to set sail at 23:00, embarking on our journey to the next destination.

Itinerary Overview: Day 3 – A Taste of Vác and Budapest

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast onboard as the ship sails toward the charming town of Vác, where you will arrive at 13:00 hrs. After lunch on board, step ashore to discover this picturesque town, celebrated for its historical landmarks and peaceful atmosphere. Stroll through the cobbled streets, admire the Cathedral of the Assumption with its striking architecture, and wander through Vác’s Old Town. A walk along the Danube Promenade offers beautiful views of the river and surrounding countryside.

At 20:30 hrs, the ship departs Vác and begins its journey to Budapest. Enjoy a relaxing dinner onboard, savoring both local and international cuisine as the vessel glides along the Danube. Later in the evening, take in the first magical views of Hungary’s capital illuminated by night, before the ship docks in Budapest for an overnight stay.

Itinerary Overview: Day 4 – Exploring the Charm of Budapest

Start your day with a delicious breakfast onboard as you prepare for an exciting full day in Budapest. After breakfast, you will have the option to join a comprehensive excursion to discover the city’s most iconic landmarks and hidden gems.

Make sure that you indulge in some of Budapest’s famous culinary delights such as “langos” (fried dough with various toppings) or rétes, a strudel pastry made with sweet cheese or fruit fillings. You can take these back with you onboard the ship and enjoy after lunch.
Budapest opens its doors for you to explore the city at your own pace, shop for souvenirs, relax at a café, or take a scenic cruise on the Danube River to view the city’s stunning landmarks. The choice is yours to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Budapest.

The cruise will depart from Budapest at 18:00 hrs, continuing on to our next destination Bratislava. Make your way to the lounge bar for pre-dinner drinks before its time to tuck into yet another delicious dinner onboard, reflecting on the highlights of Budapest. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy the peaceful journey as the cruise continues.

Itinerary Overview: Day 5 – Discovering Bratislava

Start your day with a hearty b\reakfast onboard as the boat prepares to dock in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Anticipated arrival time is 12:00 hrs, the ship arrives at the city’s vibrant docks, and here you will have the opportunity to embark on a short excursion to explore the highlights of this charming city.

Bratislava blends medieval charm with modern energy. You can wander through the narrow, cobbled streets of the Old Town, admire the beautiful Bratislava Castle, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the city and the Danube River. A chance to visit to the impressive St. Martin’s Cathedral, a gothic masterpiece that once served as the coronation church for Hungarian kings.

Discover some of the city’s unique landmarks, such as the quirky UFO Bridge, the Old Town Hall, and the colourful, whimsical architecture that makes Bratislava stand out.
Spend the afternoon relaxing on the deck, enjoy a lunch onboard with your favourite beverage.

We will need to be back on the ship early afternoon as the ship is due to set sail at 18:00 hrs. The evening is yours to unwind and reflect on the day’s discoveries while cruising to the next destination.

Itinerary Overview: Day 6 – Charming Melk

Start your day with a delicious breakfast onboard as the cruise sails along the scenic Danube. Along the way, the ship will pass the charming town of Dürnstein, famous for its striking blue church and medieval streets, offering a perfect photo opportunity from the deck. The cruise will then continue toward the historic town of Melk, arriving at approximately 12:00 hrs.

Melk is renowned for its rich history and stunning architectural beauty. Here you can explore the town’s highlights at your own pace. Visit the magnificent Melk Abbey, a Benedictine monastery perched high above the Danube. This UNESCO World Heritage site impresses with its baroque grandeur, including an intricate library, an ornate church, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

After the abbey visit, take time to wander through Melk’s quaint streets, admire historic buildings, stop at local cafés, and enjoy a treat while soaking in the town’s peaceful atmosphere.

In the early afternoon, return to the ship for lunch and relax on the deck as the cruise continues to the next destination. As evening falls, enjoy a leisurely dinner onboard, taking in the serene river scenery and the tranquil surroundings of the Danube.

Itinerary Overview: Day 7 Discovering Linz

In the morning, the cruise will arrive in Linz at approximately 08:00 hrs and the day begins, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

Linz, a vibrant city on the banks of the Danube, is known for its blend of contemporary culture and historic charm. The Old Town offering historic landmarks such as the stunning St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Main Square. You can also visit the Ars Electronica Center, a hub for innovation and technology, showcasing Linz’s modern artistic side.

Back to the ship ahead of its departure from Linz for lunch. Perhaps a massage to unwind or visit the fitness room to burn some calories. The cruise will begin to set sail at 18:00hrs.
Time for pre-dinner drink and a hearty meal onboard reflecting on the day’s discoveries. As the evening sets in, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the river, watching the passing scenery as you continue your journey to the next exciting destination.

Itinerary Overview: Day 8 Disembarkation and Departure

The cruise will come to an end on this day. We will enjoy our final breakfast onboard while taking in the last views of this beautiful city. After breakfast, the disembarkation process will begin, ensuring a smooth and relaxed departure. We will board the bus and slowly make our way to Vienna Airport for the flight back to Malta.

The flight is scheduled to depart at 12:25 hrs, giving us plenty of time to reach the airport, complete any necessary check-ins, and last-minute souvenir shopping. With fond memories of your time on the Danube, you’ll head home, eager to relive the highlights of this unforgettable trip.
