This itinerary ensures a blend of cultural exploration, natural beauty, and leisure, promising an unforgettable group trip to Croatia.

Day 1: Malta to Croatia (Zagreb – Zadar)

We begin our journey by meeting at the Malta International Airport, where our Tour Leader will assist with check-in for our Ryanair flight to Zagreb, scheduled to depart at 8:10 am. Upon arrival in Croatia’s charming capital, we collect our luggage and board our comfortable coach for a scenic drive towards Zadar.

On arrival in Zadar, we check into our hotel and unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner. Afterward, we will venture to the city center for an enchanting evening tour of Zadar, led by a knowledgeable local guide. As we wander the historic streets, we will uncover fascinating stories about this coastal gem. Highlights include:

  • The Sea Organ – A one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece where the sea’s waves create hauntingly beautiful melodies.
  • The Salutation to the Sun – A spectacular solar-powered light installation that illuminates Zadar’s waterfront.
  • Kalelarga – The city’s vibrant main street, alive with history and culture.
  • The Church of St. Donatus – A symbol of Zadar’s rich past, showcasing Romanesque beauty.
  • Zadar Market and 5 Wells Square – Authentic spots that reveal the heart of the city’s daily life.

After the guided tour, we have free time to soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere before returning to our hotel for a restful night.

Day 2: Nin Saltworks and Plitvice Lakes National Park

After a hearty breakfast, we head to the quaint town of Nin, just a short drive from Zadar. Known for its charming heritage and centuries-old salt production, we will visit the renowned Nin Saltworks. A professional guide will share captivating insights into the history and importance of salt in the region, while we explore the unique salt pans.

Next, we embark on a journey to one of Croatia’s crown jewels, Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Prepare to be mesmerized by this natural wonder, featuring 16 interconnected turquoise lakes cascading into one another through majestic waterfalls.

During our guided tour, we will:

  • Visit Veliki Slap, Croatia’s tallest waterfall, standing at an awe-inspiring 78 meters.
  • Stroll along wooden boardwalks, surrounded by lush forests and stunning views of the lakes.
  • Enjoy an electric boat ride across Lake Kozjak, a serene experience amid the breathtaking scenery.

The park is also a haven for wildlife, offering glimpses of the region’s rich biodiversity. After this unforgettable day immersed in nature, we return to our hotel for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 3: Explore the Vibrant City of Split

After breakfast, we set off for Split, Croatia’s dynamic second-largest city. Bursting with charm and history, Split offers a perfect blend of ancient wonders and modern flair.

Highlights of our visit include:

  • Diocletian’s Palace – A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman ruins. Marvel at architectural treasures such as Peristyle Square, the Cathedral of St. Domnius, and the Temple of Jupiter.
  • Riva Promenade – A lively waterfront area lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, perfect for soaking up the Adriatic ambiance.

We will also savor traditional Dalmatian dishes at a local restaurant, a culinary delight you won’t want to miss. After exploring Split’s rich history and scenic coastline, we head to Mall of Split, a bustling shopping destination where you can indulge in some retail therapy.

In the evening, we return to the hotel for overnight accommodation and a well deserved sleep!

Day 4: Sibenik and Krka National Park

Following breakfast, we drive to the enchanting town of Sibenik, renowned for its historic charm and proximity to natural wonders. Our walking tour takes us through the atmospheric Old Town, with its narrow cobblestone streets and impressive architectural gems. A visit to St. James Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, reveals intricate stone carvings and breathtaking craftsmanship.

Next, we journey to Krka National Park, where nature’s beauty unfolds in spectacular fashion. The highlight of our visit is the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls, a cascading masterpiece surrounded by crystal-clear pools and verdant landscapes. The park’s well-maintained trails allow us to explore its scenic beauty at our own pace.

After this magical experience, we return to Zadar for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5: Zagreb and Departure to Malta

Our final day begins with an early breakfast as we bid farewell to Zadar and make our way to Zagreb. Upon arrival in the capital, we embark on a leisurely city tour with a local guide. Highlights include:

  • Ban Josip Jelačić Square – A vibrant hub at the heart of Zagreb.
  • Tomislav Square – A picturesque spot honoring Croatia’s first king.
  • The Upper Town – Zagreb’s historic district, home to landmarks such as the Cathedral of Zagreb and the bustling Dolac Market.

After the tour, we enjoy free time to explore Zagreb’s charming streets or savor a final Croatian meal. In the late afternoon, we head to the airport for our flight back to Malta, cherishing unforgettable memories of our Croatian adventure.
