12th July
We meet our Tour Leader at the Malta International Airport at 7am to check in for our flight operated by KM Malta Air departing at 9am to Munich. On arriving our coach will drive us to our hotel in Fussen. Along the way, we will make a stop at Olympic Park which is a large recreational area featuring venues from the 1972 Games, including the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Hall, and Olympic Tower. Then, will continue our drive to arrive in the picturesque town in Bavaria where with our tour leader we will make a familiarization walk to get to know better this lovely place. Fussen is a popular tourist since it is a short distance to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. We will have some time to rest and later we will meet together for dinner.

13th July
A Bavarian breakfast will be followed by an impressive excursion to Hohenswanghau to visit one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in Germany, the Neuschwanstein castle. This Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace located in Bavaria, Germany. Commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, it was intended as a personal retreat and homage to the composer Richard Wagner. The castle’s design was influenced by Wagner’s operas and incorporates elements of medieval German architecture. Neuschwanstein is renowned for its picturesque location atop a rugged hill, overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau and the surrounding landscape. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Germany, attracting millions of visitors annually who come to admire its fairy-tale-like appearance and rich history. Arriving here one have 3 options to go up to visit the castle. We can choose to walk uphill to the top or buy a ticket and you will be driven on a horse driven carriage; the other option is to buy a ticket to go up with a shuttle bus (optional).
After we finish a guided tour conducted by an English-speaking guide, we return to the town center. From here we can walk to another impressive HohenSwanghau located nearby. This beautiful castle, nestled amidst lush greenery, was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II and offers guided tours showcasing its rich history and opulent interiors. Or else we may choose to walk to the promenade of a nearby wonderful lake Alpsee. Return to Fussen town centre and take a leisurely stroll through its charming streets. We admire the well-preserved medieval buildings, colourful facades, and quaint shops selling local crafts and souvenirs.

14th July
After breakfast we embark on a scenic drive to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a resort town nestled in the Bavarian Alps. We head to Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Alps Mountains and valleys. We then continue our drive to head to Mittenwald, a charming Bavarian town known for its picturesque Alpine scenery, colourful frescoed buildings, and violin-making tradition. Begin our exploration by taking a leisurely stroll through the town center. Admire the beautifully painted houses adorned with intricate frescoes depicting local folklore and religious motifs. If interested you can visit the Geigenbaumuseum (Violin Making Museum) (optional) to learn about Mittenwald’s rich history of violin craftsmanship. Explore the museum’s exhibits showcasing traditional violin-making techniques and see a collection of exquisite instruments crafted by local artisans. or explore the quaint streets lined with shops selling traditional Bavarian crafts, souvenirs, and local delicacies. Some free time will be allowed to browse through the stores and perhaps pick up a unique souvenir to remember your visit.
We leave Mittenwald, and drive to Lake Eibsee, located approximately 40 minutes away. Upon arrival at Lake Eibsee, we take a moment to admire the breathtaking natural beauty surrounding the crystal-clear waters of the lake. Marvel at the stunning reflections of the nearby Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, mirrored on the surface of the lake. Depending on the weather conditions, you can rent a rowboat or paddleboard (optional) to explore the tranquil waters of Lake Eibsee at your own pace. Alternatively, simply relax on the lakeside beach, soak up the sun, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this idyllic Alpine retreat. Time to leave this tranquil ambiance of Lake Eibsee behind us and we begin our journey back to our accommodation in Fussen.

15th July
Breakfast and we start our drive to Innsbruck. Upon arrival, will start our walking city tour around Innsbruck to explore the city’s rich history, charming architecture, and stunning Alpine backdrop. Will start the tour in the heart of the city, the Old Town, beginning at the iconic Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), a symbol of Innsbruck.
We will continue strolling through the narrow cobblestone streets lined with colourful buildings, shops, and cafes and will take in the picturesque architecture, including Gothic and Baroque buildings.
We will then walk along Maria-Theresien-Straße, Innsbruck’s main shopping street and will admire the elegant facades of the buildings and browse through the shops selling everything from fashion to souvenirs. There, we will have some free time to enjoy some shopping.
Then, will start our drive back to Fussen with a stop at Wattens Crystal Worlds, also known as Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Here, (optional) one can visit the crystal world, a subterranean exhibition space known as the Chambers of Wonder. Visitors here encounter a series of themed rooms and installations created by artists, designers, and architects from around the world. These installations feature dazzling crystal artworks, interactive exhibits, multimedia displays, and immersive experiences that showcase the beauty, versatility, and creativity of Swarovski crystals. After this captivating experience, we begin our journey back to our accommodation in Fussen.


16th July
Breakfast and westart our day heading to the Pfänderbahn valleystation. We take the Pfänderbahn cable car to the top of Pfänder Mountain (optional). The cable car ride offers stunning panoramic views of Lake Constance (Bodensee) and the surrounding Alps. Here we will be having some time to explore Pfänder Mountain. Enjoy the breath-taking views from the observation deck and take some time to hike around the mountain trails. Visit the Alpine Wildlife Park to see native animals such as deer, ibex, and marmots.
Back to the cable car to descend the mountain and we start driving to Lindau, a charming island town located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance. Lindau is known for its historic old town, picturesque harbour, and iconic lighthouse. On our arrival in Lindau, we start our exploration by taking a leisurely walk through the old town. Admire the well-preserved medieval buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, and colourful facades adorned with flowers. The Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall), a historic building located in the heart of Lindau’s old town is to be admired for its beautiful facade and architectural details. We walk back to our coach to leave Lindau and head back to our hotel.

17th July
After breakfast we start our journey today through the picturesque Bavarian countryside and cross the border into Austria. We arrive in Serfaus, a charming mountain village located in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria. Here we will enjoy a ride on the smallest underground train in the world the Dorfban. Arriving at the center of Serfaus we will have time to go to the mountain top on one of the two busy cable car stations. Arriving on the top we will enjoy a stroll in this skiing heaven and stunning mountain views or perhaps opt to taste a wood oven pizza or a Tyrolean dish Specialty.
From Serfaus, we make our way by driving through another small and picturesque tidy village of Fiss. Then, we will move to the twinning village Ladis which is adorned by a really a beautiful lake. The highlight is the imposing Ladis Castle (Burg Laudegg), a well-preserved medieval castle perched on a hill overlooking the village. Here you will enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Then will start our way back to our accommodation.

18th July
Breakfast and we prepare to leave Fussen. We load our luggages and start our trip to Munich.
Before entering Munich we will have time to visit Schloss Nymphenburg. The Nymphenburg Palace is a Baroque palace situated in Munich’s western district Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, in Bavaria, southern Germany. Combined with the adjacent Nymphenburg Palace Park it constitutes one of the premier royal palaces of Europe. Its frontal width of 632m even surpasses Versailles Palace. We will wander through the front palace gardens and besides these beautiful gardens, we will also admire the large unique fountains in the Nymphenburg Palace Park. These are also important witnesses to the history of Bavarian technology since the cast-iron pumping stations have been feeding the fountains for more than 200 years. They were considered masterpieces even when they were created. Time to finish our tour will be nearing.
We leave this impressive palace to make our final trip to the airport to check in for our flight back that departs at 7.00pm.
